A stunning blue butterfly spotted in the forest today
The small blue butterfly looked particularly delicate with its semi-transparent wings. Meanwhile not far away a fine example of a peacock butterfly sunned itself on a mass of pink flowers. Numerous blue-green dragonflies could also be seen hovering over ponds still supporting tadpoles. These tadpoles are developing very slowly and I wonder if they ever will become frogs. The humid weather and sporadic sunshine today seems to be ideal for bringing out the flowers and insects.
